This year’s Best Bathroom Contest winner is a chic and timeless master bathroom designed and customized by Lisa Hoyt of Lisa Hoyt Designs that beautifully complements the classically-styled French European ambiance of Andy and Lisa Harrison’s Solana Beach home. Completing the project just last month, Hoyt worked with Mitchell’s Flooring, Kerry Appleby Payne of Willis Allen Real Estate, WDI Designs, and Frank & Sons to bring the homeowners’ vision to life. The integration of authentic French antiques, including the playful 1800s light fixtures repurposed from a street-side Parisian café in France, make this welcoming space both darling and distinctive.

An exquisite 1847 Parisian antique armoire takes center stage, creating the feeling of entering a charming French chalet. Adding a modern traditional twist, the light brown emperador marble and the caramel honed travertine bring dimension and contrast to the design of the backsplash and inlayed flooring.

An elegant freestanding Cheviot soaking tub, oversized shower marking the height of modern living, varied stylish crystal pulls, and beautifully brushed silver and bronze framed mirrors all add a lovely sophistication and classic aesthetic to this well-designed space. Brushed nickel Kohler and Rohl faucets, squared sinks, and stunning finishes, including glazing of all the new cabinetry and armoire distressing, complete this romantic retreat.
